General Terms & Conditions
Normal bookings are made for periods of one week from 4pm on Saturday to 10am the
following Saturday.
There may be limited availability for arrival/departure on other days but only by prior
arrangement. We understand that a number of airports in the UK only fly into the region
midweek and are happy to accommodate you but again please advise us beforehand.
Ian and Bernadette will greet you on arrival, provide a guided tour of the
accommodation and offer any further information you may require to ensure that your
stay goes well.
If you make a reservation more than 8 week before your arrival date, a 50% deposit of
the total cost is required to secure your reservation with the balance to be paid in full
no less than 8 weeks before you arrive or
If your make your reservation with less than 8 weeks before your arrival date, 100% of
the cost is required at the time of booking.
On all weekly bookings for the Maison de Maître and la Grande Maison, a non-refundable
cleaning deposit is required. For the Maison de Maître the cost is €30 and for la Grande
Maison the cost is €45. It has been necessary to introduce this as although many
promise to return a property in the condition it was presented, sadly this is not the
case. We pride ourselves on providing you with a clean and comfortable environment
and much time and effort is put into this.
Towels, bed linen and other bedding is included in the price, as is all electricity and hot
water, and there are no hidden charges relevant to the occupancy level.
We supply some cleaning materials and refuse sacs as the commune of Bourg-Charente
has a very good ecology and recycling policy.
Important Information
If you have young children please contact us before making a booking as sadly, we do not
possess and therefore cannot provide you with cots, high chairs etc.
We will consider taking small dogs but again please contact us before making a booking.
All towels supplied are for use at Les Vieux Chais only (excluding gardens). If you require
some for use at a beach or other location please supply your own towels for this.
A ‘No Smoking’ policy is in operation in all the buildings and guests are requested to
smoke outside.
Payment is normally accepted in Euro though it may be possible to pay in Sterling by
prior arrangement.
